Jethro was our sage - always on hand to resolve all our queries.
His bold style was adapted to suit our own tastes and personalities
with amazing effect. In a few words:
- Jethro is a most professional, friendly and client-orientated designer.

Our bathroom was the darkest room in the flat, is incredibly small and had bothered me since moving in. I didn't know how to tackle such a small room.

Jethro came to advise us on how best to maximise what little space we had. His help in sourcing everything from taps to tiles was invaluable, and with his help our bathroom now feels full of light & incredibly spacious. I love spending time in it, and it has become the best room in the flat. We were also unsure how to tackle the original tile flooring, which did not go with the room, and Jethro was on hand to give us excellent advice on what to do.

He was always available to go through any design queries and helped lead us in the right direction, creating a beautifully designed room in a very small space.
I do not hesitate in recommending his services to anyone.

We moved into our new property which was poorly and unimaginatively decorated, but we knew the potential was there for something much more interesting.

We came into contact with Jethro, who immediately impressed us with his creative suggestions based on our descriptions prior to actually visiting the apartment.

We had never worked with a designer before, and from the outset Jethro enabled us to understand the process and how we could work together.
We had some definite ideas which Jethro worked with and occasionally challenged. He worked within our budget and gave us realistic advice as to what was and was not possible.

Jethro has a discerning eye and we are delighted with the final result.
He introduced us to new ideas and materials and skilfully integrated our individual styles, which are sometimes quite different.
He was diplomatic, yet firm when questioning some of our choices.

Throughout, we found him charming, easy to work with and friendly whilst always remaining professional. Should we move again, we would certainly use Jethro’s services and we unhesitatingly recommend him to others.

We engaged Jethro to design our living room, dining room and master bedroom after seeing the great work he had done at the home of a family friend.  He challenged our original thinking with innovative ideas resulting in the rooms being individual and perfect for us.

He was invaluable in sourcing items at reasonable prices which we wouldn't have been able to find. Overall, his advice and smart purchasing saved us far more than his fees and we ended up with rooms which we could never have achieved otherwise.

We are delighted with the results and would recommend Jethro to others.

I first came upon Jethro's work when my mother's best friend had commissioned him to transform her lounge in a period house in Bournemouth, which was truly stunning. However I was initially sceptical about involving an interior designer with my flat conversion in Wimbledon due to the potential costs. However, my fear was soon dispelled and it was clear from the outset that he would actually save me money and prevent me from making some costly mistakes.

My primary objective was to create something utterly different fusing contemporary style with a period feel, after one initial consultation, it was clear to me that Jethro had to be involved. From the outset he added value to the project; reviewing and recommending changes to the architectural plans and the structural considerations required in constructing a flat centred on a mezzanine floor. I think what I found reassuring was that he always considered the  practical implications of any suggestion, and was able to integrate key pieces of furniture that I had prematurely purchased into the new design.

I would have no hesitation in commissioning Jethro again on another project and recommending his work to others;
I would certainly not have such an impressive home without his involvement.

We chose JCR Interior Design as partners for the new BFI FilmStore because their outline designs indicated a real ability to listen to our brief and to understand the constraints of the project. The final design met our requirement to deliver a specialist retail opportunity within a flagship cultural venue.

The fit-out was tightly project managed by Jethro Clunies-Ross,
liaison with the many other contractors on the site was efficient and the BFI FilmStore was delivered on time and on budget.

The design and fit out have proved over time to be both attractive and robustly fit for purpose, enabling the BFI FilmStore to be a very successful part of BFI Southbank.

I would not hesitate to work with JCR Interior Design in the future.

I was a little nervous about using an interior designer for the first time but we needed help with organizing  and redecorating our awkwardly shaped living room.

I need not have worried. As well as giving us beautiful designs to choose from, Jethro made sure that that the furniture and lighting arrangement was practical and functional. He was able to work with the items we needed to keep and suggested realistically priced replacements where required.
Jethro kept within the budget and I feel he has helped me to avoid costly mistakes.

The final design is restful, looks natural and makes the best use of the space available.
I feel he has more than met the challenge I set him of updating my more traditional tastes.

I must also add that at all times I have been impressed by Jethro's speed and efficiency.
I would not hesitate to recommend him to others...

We recently had a large extension added to our Arts and Crafts house in Bournemouth as well as reorganising and refurbishing several of the rooms in the rest of the house. This resulted in having to design and decorate from scratch the kitchen and breakfast room, two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a family bathroom and one further teenage bedroom, quite a major undertaking.

I commissioned Jethro to do all the designs for the rooms (he had previously designed our sitting room and our home office which we are very pleased with.) During the building work, Jethro had to work closely with the architect, builders and decorators and he developed a good working relationship with all of them. He was always available for help and advice when the inevitable problems arose. Jethro certainly helped to make the whole process of the project a lot smoother than it would have been otherwise.

Having worked with Jethro before, I felt I was able to trust him to come up with contemporary ideas that I, and the rest of the family, would like. Jethro more than justified my faith in him; the result has been some stunning designs for every room, but the overall effect is also soothing and welcoming.

What impresses me about Jethro’s ideas is that he is not a slave to designer labels and fashion trends and is happy to incorporate high street and budget items where appropriate.  His ideas are always practical and functional as well as beautiful.
I am only sorry that the house is now finished and we have no more rooms left for him to design!

It was a pleasure working with Jethro, as he is extremely professional, and we were very pleased with the results.

As the offices are in a very traditional building. it was a challenge to come up with the right furniture to suit. Jethro was able to meet this challenge and create a very efficient environment that is a pleasure to work in.
